Evaluation

I believe my speakers reflect the sleek and modern design I had aimed for. The curved shape, the circle design on the front panel and the whole back shell is sleek and finished to the best of my ability. I think the shape is very effective, as a modern design and also that it enables quality sound from the speakers.

The theme of my speaker I think is communicated well. The 'circle of life' detail on the front panel has come out very well and is identical to the image I was aiming for from the James Bond titles.

The colour scheme for my speakers was based on the preset colours of the iconic circle in the James Bond films. There is lots of blacks and greys, and this is why I went for the contrast between the metallic grey shell and the jet mat black front. Red does enter the equation in the titles, representing blood or the coming of violence and death within the film. I didn't want to focus solely upon this point therefore I just had the flash of red between the front and back panels, giving an effective contrast that isn't overpowering to the eye.

The product is well within the size constraints of my specification and because of the built up layers, the shell forms a very durable base for the whole product.

If I was to do this project again I would certainly get hold of a mains plug in order for music to be played for longer, without having to change a battery after several hours of use.

I would also potentially look in to making the lines of the circles on the front panel a different colour to the rest of the surface. This is because unfortunately they don't show up as much as I would like, and this is down to my colour choice of black for the front panel. I could have had red blending in from the bottom, moving to white as it got to the bottom of the product.

All in all, I am very pleased with my final product!

Hope you've enjoyed the blog!   :)
